I've spent some time to find a good combination of camera and telescope. The 16" f3.75 telescope has a focal length of 1500mm. De camera, FLI16803, has a big sensor of 36x36mm and pixel size is 9µm (4096x4096 pixels). This combination results in a resolution of 1.234" which corresponds with good seeing conditions. Because of the large square sensor, the FOV is 1.4°x1.4°
The mount is ASA DDM85. This is a direct drive mount and brings periodic error close to zero (no gear related mechanical imperfections). I use this mount unguided and the stars are still nice round after 300s. Exposures of 300s is sufficient with this fast system. The tube is made of special grade carbon fibre and I've seen no change in focus within a temperature range of 10°C (even at f3.75)
I hope this answers some of your questions.
