Photographer Miles Morgan took the concept of living on the edge to the extreme - and the experience ended up costing him a pair of shoes and some of his equipment. Morgan, originally from Portland, Oregon, has spent the past several years scaling active volcanoes on the Hawaiian Islands to capture the flow of red-hot lava and thick clouds of smoke and ash blotting out the sun.On his website, the daredevil artists wrote that he comes from a family with a passion for photography, and all throughout his childhood and teen years a camera was always within reach.
