the darknessset in last night, star gazers throughout the world looked up at the sky in thehopes of catching a glimpse the spectacular Perseid meteor shower.
Despite patches ofcloud cover and a bright supermoon, the shower provided some stunning views asit lit up the skies with streaks of up to 100 shooting stars perhour.The annual showeroccurs every August and is caused by debris from the huge Swift-Tuttle cometfalling into the Earth's atmosphere.8月12日晚每年一度的英仙座流星雨划破夜空，国外摄影师纷纷拍摄绝美图片，带来震撼图景。斯威夫特-塔特尔彗星（Swift-Tuttlecomet）落下的碎片划过大气层，为北半球的天空带来盛大的夏日流星秀。图片拍摄于英国的肯特郡和剑桥郡，西班牙的马德里以及波斯尼亚的新特拉夫尼克。
