新发现的SWAN彗星进入C3
This recent comet first reported by John Sachs is most likely a SWANcomet that was found by Michael Mattiazzo early December in SWAN images
from late November. Taking his measures and the recent C3 appearance
very preliminary orbital elements are as follows:
T = 2004 Dec 21.7
q = 0.23
Peri = 82.05
Node = 211.86
Incl = 31.25
e = 1.0 (assumed)

10寸,是25.4厘米口径了!只能搞反射的了!
2004V13小爆发?
12月17日1342(UT)测量彗星亮度4.5等,而预报亮度5.9,亮于预报值1.4等,彗尾加长,今天1318测量,彗星亮度为5.7等,预报亮度5.5等,比较接近,我推测彗星曾发生过一次增亮1等左右的小爆发,彗星离近日点还有3天,期间还会发生什么变化,让我们拭目以待。 好!期待!
