主讲人简介：
Frank Shu is an astrophysicist,author and professor of astronomy at the University of California,Berkeley and University of California,San Diego and the university president of the National Tsing Hua University.

He made major contributions in the areas of Galactic structure,star and planet formation theory.

He won many international prestigious awards including the Shaw Prize in astrophysics in 2009.


   徐遐生教授是国际著名的华裔天体物理学家，曾担任过台湾清华大学校长（2002年2月-2006年2月），美国天文学会主席（1994年-1996年），同时享有加州公立大学系统终
身“荣誉教授”称号。现在，徐遐生教授是UC San Diego和UC Berkeley的荣誉教授，从2007年起被北京大学聘为科维理天文与天体物理研究所国际顾问委员会主席。
