ACS宕掉了,WFPC2的分辨率够呛,估计这个不会有多少人下载的,图并不清晰,更不如土星那个图有良好的视觉效应。本图已经是最大分辨率
当我翻译上一段文字到一半时,已经能够大概猜测它的意思了。地球大气光学我基本上一窍不通(所以以后幻日之类我还是不说了吧,言多必失啊),超新星还是略知一二的。
Archival photographs from NASA's Hubble Space Telescope have been used to uncover the progenitor star to a supernova that exploded in 2005. To the surprise of astronomers, the progenitor is a rare class of ultra-bright star that, according to theory, shouldn't explode so early in its evolution.
哈勃望远镜的档案图片帮助天文学家揭示了2005年爆发的超新星(以光到达地球的时间为准,下同——译注)SN 2005gl的前身恒星。令他们大吃一惊的是,这颗前身恒星是一颗超亮蓝变星(否则怎么能被WFPC2这个级别的相机拍下,自然也找不到前身天体了——译注)。而根据现在经典的天体演化理论,它们不该在如此早期就爆发为超新星的。
