Hallo Maik J
Thoose light curve actually leads to somewhat like -25 mag. It is cutted in
order to prevent people saying that comet iwll peak at mag -25 as other Sun
on sky ;-).
I am also pesimistic, and comet only possibily showing "dance of death".
But it also can be some originally hidden larger fragment.
Definitively we will know that in few days J
Best regards,
Jakub Cerny

come on, you should have scaled the graph in order to see the maximum
brightness
resulting from that! ;)
Where does it end.. -16 or -18 ??
Too bad that perihelion itself seems to be around midnight for Europeans...

Okay, joking aside, this is an interesting result and I hope that with the
help of
SOHO and/or STEREO we will have a nice lightcurve at the end.
I am still pessimistic regarding this comet but, well, always expect the
unexpected...
Cheers, Maik
