      摄影师简介：
      英国剑桥的25岁青年摄影师James Appleton为了捕捉北极光在一座正在喷发的火山上空闪耀这一转瞬即逝的惊人景象，在冰岛花费了7年之久，与火山研究人员同进同出，终于抓拍出这震撼的一幕。
     出生于美国新墨西哥州的Lucas Jackson是路透社的专职摄影师，多次获得世界摄影大赛的奖项。

     按照搜狐的介绍（http://it.sohu.com/20120316/n337935623.shtml），据了解，阿普尔顿（James Appleton）是在去年四月时前往冰岛的，冒着生命危险才拍摄到这一组罕见的美景，他的火山朋友也警告他，冰岛三月末的自然气候演变十分具有戏剧性，但阿普尔顿并没有顾及这些，当天就订了飞机，飞行了一夜直抵冰岛火山底，随后他在第二天花了八个小时，攀到了冰岛火山的山顶。由于他在2006年时曾独自在冰岛高原跋涉过75千米的距离，因此他能很好的判断出哪个位置的自然光有利于拍摄。阿普尔顿对此景拍摄十分着迷，甚至当相关工作人员已经对冰岛火山进行了安全封闭时，他还在里边进行拍摄。在冰岛火山顶的一切行动都要小心翼翼，特别是行走的时候要尤为小心，因为地上都是薄冰，风力也特别大，一不留神就会摔倒。也许，人们会对阿普尔顿的做法很不理解，但是从这些美丽的图片中可以真切的感受到他心底的那种激情与兴奋，在图片中可以看到，冰岛火山裂缝中冒出的汩汩灼热岩浆，还有火山上空神话般美丽的极光。
       阿普尔顿回忆表示，他对登上冰岛火山的第一个晚上记忆犹新，当太阳下山时，在地平线就出现了一处颜色淡淡的绿光。当夜色越来越深，整个天空就出现了美丽的极光。夜空中缓缓移动的极光，就像挡风玻璃上流动的水一样。在第一夜过后，他对自己的作品很不满意。于是他在第二天开始，决定好好利用曝光条件，这样可以同时拍摄到火山爆发和极光两大美景。尽管冰岛火山山顶的风势很猛，以至于三脚架在风中都会摇摆不定，由于气温低，电池的消耗也很大，但是阿普尔顿仍然在第二天晚上拍摄到了这组美丽的风景图片。阿普尔顿表示，我并不是一个冒险家，只是一个摄影狂热者。如果有人问，让你去一个会被火山岩浆融化的地方呆四天，你会去吗？那我当然不会去，但是如果去了能拍摄到美丽的风景，那么我一定会毫不犹豫的前往。

The Eyjafjallajökull eruption grounded flights across the UK and Europe in April after a cloud of volcanic ash which could damage jet engines drifted across the area.
