yesterday I made some visual observation including positive of C/2012 S1 (ISON)
and 63P (Wild1)

63P (Wild1)
2013 Jan. 11.88 UT: m1=15.7, Dia.=0.2', DC=8, 50.8L (307x)
Seen only with averted vision, but my friend Zoltan Toth has also confirmed the
view. Nearly starlike, motion could not be checked because the comet is on
stationary position. Limiting magnitude in field is 16.8. Checked only in DSS.

262P (McNaught-Russel)
2013 Jan. 11.76 UT: m1=11.6, Dia.=2.5', DC=3, 50.8L (78x)

C/2011 UF305 (LINEAR)
2013 Jan. 11.86 UT: m1=13.8, Dia.=0.6', DC=4, 50.8L (189x)

C/2012 J1 (Catalina)
2013 Jan. 11.81 UT: m1=13.8, Dia.=1.0', DC=5, 50.8L (189x)

C/2012 K5 (LINEAR)
2013 Jan. 11.78 UT: m1=9.7, Dia.=1.5', DC=6, Tail: 0.17deg 50.8L (78x)

C/2012 L1 (LINEAR)
2013 Jan. 11.84 UT: m1=13.6, Dia.=0.8', DC=4, 50.8L (308x)
Located only 5’ from a 6.5mag star, but can be seen easily

C/2012 L2 (LINEAR)
2013 Jan. 11.82 UT: m1=13.5, Dia.=0.7', DC=4, 50.8L (189x)

C/2012 S1 (ISON)
2013 Jan. 11.79 UT: m1=15.2, Dia.=0.4', DC=7, 50.8L (307x)
Can be seen easily as a hairy star. Motion was cheched during a 2.2 hours
period. Limiting magnitude in field is 16.5.

C/2012 V2 (LINEAR)
2013 Jan. 11.83 UT: m1=[15.0, NEGATIVE, 50.8L (307x)
Not seen, must be fainter than 15.0 mag.

Comet Observations 17th & 18th January 2013

C/2012 K5 LINEAR
2013 Jan 17.48 UT; m1=11.2; Dia= 2.2’; DC= 5/6; 25cm L, f:5 (x39) [Chris Wyatt,
Walcha, NSW, Australia]
Coma edges diffuse and tenuous with faint broad tail to NE, 7’ in length, very
transparent. Inner come slightly brighter but very small, stellar central
condensation faint.
Comparison stars checked using Tycho-2 data in Guide 9.0; Method= M; Cat= TK

C/2012 F6 Lemmon
2013 Jan 17.68 UT; m1=6.9; Dia= 14’; DC= 4; 7x50 B [Chris Wyatt, Walcha, NSW,
Australia]
Coma has diffuse edges with slightly brighter inner coma and gradually
condensing to centre as a broad patch of light, no tail.
Comparison stars checked using Tycho-2 data in Guide 9.0; Method= M; Cat= TK

C/2011 L4 PANSTARRS
2013 Jan 17.72 UT; m1=7.7; Dia= 6.3’; DC= 6; 11x70 B [Chris Wyatt, Walcha, NSW,
Australia]
Outer coma appears diffuse, elongated slightly to th West, small stellar central
condensation. Observed in 7x50 B’s as a faint patch of light with averted vision
in good seeing.
Comparison stars checked using Tycho-2 data in Guide 9.0; Method= M; Cat= TK

2013 Jan 17.72 UT; m1=7.8; Dia= 2.1’; DC= 6; 25cm L, f:5 (x39) [Chris Wyatt,
Walcha, NSW, Australia]
Swan band filter enhances inner coma and central condensation slightly but not
the extremity of the tail. Coma appears as a bright stellar central condensation
with bright but diffused inner coma sweeping back, narrow and tapering in
brightness with faint and diffuse tail extremity which fans out slightly. Tail
length 5.8' in length to WNW.
Comparison stars checked using Tycho-2 data in Guide 9.0; Method= M; Cat= TK
