C/2011 L4 (PANSTARRS) 已过3等！

Hi,

I visually observed C/2011 L4 (PANSTARRS) on February 24. The Moon was 12 days
old and the comet was low in the SW late twilight 鈥� so a bit of a challenge to
get a mag estimate...

x 70 B...John Drummond, (Gisborne, New Zealand) [Comet PANSTARRS easy to see
in dusk. Nice coma and medium tail. Comparison stars - Alpha, Gamma, Delta PSA
(mags 1.2, 4.2, 4.5). Comet 4 degrees altitude in the SW. Clear, bright 12 day
Moon, twilight sky.]

北半球最近还是看不了啊。。。

要多少焦長拍才能連尾巴都拍入??

My observation of comet C/2011 L4 PANSTARRS this evening.

2013 Feb 28.41 UT: m1=2.6, Dia.= ~5' , DC=7...NE...Michael Mattiazzo
(Castlemaine, Victoria)
[End of nautical twilight. At 6 degrees altitude the comet, and small
portion of tail, was clearly visible with the unaided eye, appearing
marginally fainter than comparison stars Alpha Gruis (1.8) and Alpha Pavonis
(1.9). In 25x100mm binoculars, the dust tail measured 1.5 degrees in PA165,
with the much fainter and shorter type 3 dust trail in PA 205. The ion tail
was not visible visually but is at least 2 degrees long in PA155 on a 3
minute exposusure using a canon 60Da camera and 300mm lens]

Hi All

I made the following observation from Elwood
beach, Victoria, Australia tonight.
The comet was visible to the naked eye as a starlike
object with a very short tail, which appeared longer with
averted vision.
In my 11x70mm binoculars I could see over a degree
of tail.
Details
March 1.40UT, m1 2.4, DC 7/.
Tail over 1 deg in length, PA 160.
11x70mm Binoculars

北半球要凌晨才能看到吗？还是都看不到，反正傍晚是没看到。

还没到时候吧，现在就中国来说L4西沉得比太阳还快，看不到的啦……等9号以后有可能看到，前提是你所处位置纬度够低，西边足够开阔，空气质量足够好

现在已过2等。

北半球观测资料？  

北半球现在貌似还看不到吧。。。

我们天津同好计划16号晚上集体出动观测彗星和M天体。

昨天的观测报告说是 1.3~1.4等了

看和新月靠在一起的时候效果怎么样。

9日后才能看到？现在日出前也看不到啊

現在應該就能太陽下山後看, 但角度很低

3/9~10 過近日點會最亮 ..3/16 角度又高些
所以多數人是 3/9~16 辦觀測活動..

最新观测已经-0.2等了
