Commander Chris Ferguson, Pilot Doug Hurley and MissionSpecialists Sandy Magnus and Rex Walheim will begin deorbit preparations alittle before 1 a.m. EDT for their planned landing at 5:56 a.m. at NASA’sKennedy Space Center in Florida.

最新天气预报显示天气状况仍然“十分良好”
2011年7月21日，12点31分27秒，GMT+0800 航天气象小组更新了对亚特兰蒂斯号在佛罗里达州肯尼迪航天中心着陆的天气预报。预报显示天气仍然保持在“十分良好”的状态，将不会出现预计中阻碍航天飞机于美国东部夏令时间5点56分58秒降落的航天违规情况。 下面是航天气象小组的正式预报内容： 气象摘要： 肯尼迪航天中心—航天飞机任务结束的天气趋势仍然保持良好。在美国东南部发展的表面高气压将持续到周四，干燥，微风的天气呈现出任务结束所期望的情况。没有气象违规情况让任务结束有变动。（这个需要高手来解释，EOM是任务结束的意思，EOM+1是一种任务结束延后的情况吗？保持不译。）佛罗里达州中部呈现的大范围气象格局在EOM与EOM+1之间变化甚微。

亚特兰蒂斯号载荷舱门已经关闭，一切工作都按照计划进行。宇航办公室的副主任里克·斯图科在肯尼迪航天中心进行飞行气象侦察，为确定着陆提供实时的观测结果。斯图科报告说天空十分晴朗，没有天气的问题。天气情况的观察与预报同样为发出指令做着准备。凌晨2点19分（当地时间）开始，飞行指挥员托尼·切卡奇就在为亚特兰蒂斯号电脑开始运行Op3着陆软件做准备。2点49分，机组人员将接到穿上宇航服的指令。脱离轨道点火的指令将预计在4点29分发出。脱离轨道点火计划在4点49分04秒进行，预计降落时间为5点56分58秒。

Deputy Chief of the Astronaut Office Rick Sturckow is flying weather reconnaissance at KennedySpace Center to provide real-time observations that will aid in the decision toland. Sturckow is reporting “severe clear” skies and no weather concerns.Weather is both observed and forecast “go.”
At 2:19 a.m., Entry Flight Director TonyCeccacci is expected to give a “go” for Atlantis’ computers to begin runningthe Ops 3 entry software. At 2:49 a.m. a “go” is expected for crew suit up. The“go” for deorbit burn is expected by 4:29 a.m.
The deorbit burn is scheduled for 4:49:04a.m. and will lead to a landing at 5:56:58 a.m.

脱离轨道点火完成

亚特兰蒂斯号航天飞机已经完成脱离轨道点火，已经进入返回肯尼迪航天中心的阶段。航天飞机将在5点24分50秒（当地时间）进入地球大气层，高温加热将5点34分开始。第一次翻转将在5点41分发生，高温加热将在5点44分结束。（专业术语求准确翻译）亚特兰蒂斯号将会向东北方向飞行越过佛罗里达西海岸靠近那不勒斯的地方（美国佛罗里达南部城镇），在5点52分触发两次音爆以使速度降低到到亚音速。指令长克里斯·弗格森将调整航天飞机航向从西北到东南跑道15，降落将发生于5点56分58秒。
