The NASA logo hangs on the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASA's Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans. The logo was heavily damaged during Hurricane Katrina, which struck the Gulf Coast in August 2005. Michoud, managed by NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., is responsible for the design, manufacture and assembly of the space shuttle external tank. The facility also has been chosen by NASA to support several major exploration projects, including development efforts for the Orion spacecraft and Ares launch vehicles. (NASA/Michoud)

Crews re-hang the NASA logo on the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASA's Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans.
