The Local Coordination Committees also initially claimed that the death toll was more than 200 people, saying that they were working to confirm the number of deaths.[33] They later revised their figures with confirmation of 55 deaths.[34][35] On 5 February, the LCC stated that they had documented the names of 212 people that had reportedly been killed in Homs, but counted 181 bodies.[36]
