2013 Jan 29.42 UT; m1=10.4; Dia= 1.8’; DC= 5/6; 25cm L, f:5 (x39) [Chris Wyatt,

Small pseudo nucleus visible in good seeing, coma gradually brightens to centre
with weak centre. No tail, enhances inner coma with Swan Band filter. At x83 the
coma appears circular. Moonlight interference.

The ion tail is at least 3 degrees long in PA 165.

C/2011 L4 PANSTARRS
2013 Feb 8.75 UT
Canon 60Da, 5x2 minute stack. 300mm zoom lens, cropped. Visual estimate 5.9.
The ion tail is nearly 1 degree in PA 210 whilst the leading edge of the
dust tail is 30' in PA 250.
Notice the broad dust fan.

Very condensed starlike coma.
More diffused towards the edges.
Broad tail 0.45 deg in length in PA 240
11x70mm Binos
Approx 10 degrees above the horizon, and the start of twilight, when observed

Feb 11.75UT, m1 5.5, Dia 15', DC 5/
11x70mm Binos
I could almost fit 47 Tuc, and the comet in the same FOV.

Both comet not visible to the naked eye from my location.
