- Meade DSI-I 彩版。

Mandii,

Thanks a bunch for sharing your photographs. If I recall correctly, you are using a 4 inch Newtonian on a motorized EQ3 mount. Good work.

I find that DeepSkyStacker (DDS), seems to align stars better than Iris or Registax for photographs of nebula, star clusters, etc. DDS is freeware and easy to use. You may want to try it.

Night sky is full of mystery . Especially those deep sky objects .. . I use simple or primitive equipments , the EQ3 mount with one motor unguided , 4" newtonian and a meade DSI-I . I admire the ancient astronomy , such as the ancient pyramid , that is also primitive and mysterious .
That's why my each DSO photo is attached the pyramid ,it represent the primitive and mysterious .

2ndly , some of the photos attach the star chat , these star chat are prepared and printed out before the actual observation night , for my manual GOTO to find the objects efficiently . To me , in order to capture an object , Manual GOTO is important and very fun . That's why I always attached the star chat and the actual object photo together , to combine into one single completed observation note .
And that is only talking about long time ago( half year ago) , I did it in such way , recently I am getting lazy , though the manual GOTO is still using , but just skipped the star chat picture , to make the final observation notes becomes more simplier and neat .

MANDII : Today, 09:22 AM
Thank you everybody !!
I had never tried to catch up 4 DSO in a single night(26th of DEC) before , ha ha very exciting and happy indeed ! The polar alignment by drifting technique did work very well one months ago , because of this , I can find the objects very accurately and efficiently , by using the Manual GOTO method . They can be seen within the FOV of my eyepiece by just turning the RA and DEC circles , just one time turning can reach their position !! And catch them !! very accurate !!

I will keep on doing in that way , The MANUAL GOTO , and thanks all of you to have a glance on my photos . THANK yOU !!

Hi Mandii - watched your ob construction with great interest on Observatory Forum

However I think you may get a better response with your images on the beginners imaging forum. Also you are mixing here deepspace with solar system imaging and there are separate fora for each of these subjects in CN - hope my comments are helpful

You have great enthusiasm

MANDII : 02/05/11 11:33 AM
Thanks nytecam,
I am not sure this is the right sub-forunm to put my thread in . Cause I just noted the word "Deep Sky Object ". And it is really a deep sky object observation report . Anyway , I can't change it anymore .
