US ASTRONOMY

Mandii,
Thanks a bunch for sharing your photographs. If I recall correctly, you are using a 4 inch Newtonian on a motorized EQ3 mount. Good work.
I find that DeepSkyStacker (DDS), seems to align stars better than Iris or Registax for photographs of nebula, star clusters, etc. DDS is freeware and easy to use. You may want to try it.

LOL - ok ok.... I get it but why the pyramid and other ancient sculptures and so on. I will say you have the most unique posting approach Ive ever seen. At anyrate, I enjoyed scrolling through your images. Nice detail on Jupiter too.

Night sky is full of mystery . Especially those deep sky objects .. . I use simple or primitive equipments , the EQ3 mount with one motor unguided , 4" newtonian and a meade DSI-I . I admire the ancient astronomy , such as the ancient pyramid , that is also primitive and mysterious .
That's why my each DSO photo is attached the pyramid ,it represent the primitive and mysterious .
2ndly , some of the photos attach the star chat , these star chat are prepared and printed out before the actual observation night , for my manual GOTO to find the objects efficiently . To me , in order to capture an object , Manual GOTO is important and very fun . That's why I always attached the star chat and the actual object photo together , to combine into one single completed observation note .
And that is only talking about long time ago( half year ago) , I did it in such way , recently I am getting lazy , though the manual GOTO is still using , but just skipped the star chat picture , to make the final observation notes becomes more simplier and neat . |
