NASA's Mars Exploration Rover Spirit used its navigation camera to capture this view of the terrain toward the southeast from the location Spirit reached on the 1,871st Martian day, or sol, of the its mission (April 8, 2009).
本图由美国宇航局的勇气号火星漫游车的导航相机拍摄于2009.4.8，方向：火星车的东南方。此时勇气号已经在火星上度过1871个火星日了。
The mound on the horizon in the upper left is informally called 'VonBraun' and is one of the features that rover team has designated as a possible investigation site in future months. From the location where Spirit was when the image was taken, Von Braun is about 525 feet, or 160 meters, away.
图中左上“地平线”所在的丘陵，非正式名称是“冯.布劳恩”丘陵，该区域是勇气号火星车团队设定的探测目标区之一，后面几个月火星车很可能去调查该区域。从火星车现在的位置到“冯.布劳恩”丘陵的距离约160米。

PS：此车台湾译为“精神”号，如果仅从字面看，倒是他们更加直译点。本文又开始讨厌的超长文了。火星的一天是24小时39分35秒（太阳日），与地球日很接近。——gohomeman1

Flight Engineers Roman Romanenko,Frank De Winne and Robert Thirsk of the 20th International Space Station crew launched in their Soyuz TMA-15 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 6:34 a.m. EDT Wednesday, May 27, 2009, to begin a six-month stay in space.
国际空间站（简称ISS）的第20轮考察队成员 Roman Romanenko、Frank De Winne和Robert Thirsk乘“联盟”——15号飞船，于美国东部时间2009.5.27星期三早晨6：34（当地时间显然是下午）在哈萨克斯坦拜科努尔发射场升空，开始为期6个月的太空生活。
Expedition 20 will mark the start of six-person crew operations aboard the International Space Station. All five of the international partner agencies--NASA, the Russian Federal Space Agency, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency,the European Space Agency and the Canadian Space Agency--will be represented on orbit for the first time.
第20轮成员加入后，ISS将开始6人组工作（先前为3人）。五大government航天组织将首次在轨道空间站上通力合作，它们是：美国航空航天局NASA、俄罗斯联邦太空局RFSA、日本太空发展署JAEA、欧洲航天局ESA和加拿大空间局CSA。

1600X1200图，实话说火箭发射升空成本是很高滴，但航天飞机实际成本也很高，由于它结构复杂，维护、保管、组装、测试等成本比一般的火箭发射高很多。结果，航天飞机可重复利用优点就显现不出来了。

A Ghost Remains

This composite image shows a small region ofthe Chandra Deep Field North. The diffuse blue object near the centerof the image is believed to be a cosmic 'ghost' generated by a hugeeruption from a supermassive black hole in a distant galaxy. This X-rayghost, a.k.a. HDF 130, remains after powerful radio waves fromparticles traveling away from the black hole at almost the speed oflight, have died off.
本合成图是钱德拉北天空图的一小部分。中心附近弥散的蓝色对象据信是遥远星系中的超级黑洞大规模喷发产生的宇宙“幽灵”。这个X线“幽灵”又名HDF 130，辐射出极其强烈的射电波，这是有喷射的微粒以接近光速（在磁场中同步加速）离开黑洞时产生的。
HDF 130 is more than 10 billion lightyears away and existed at a time 3 billion years after the Big Bang,when galaxies and black holes were forming at a high rate. Near thecenter of the X-ray ghost is a radio point source indicating thepresence of a growing supermassive black hole.
HDF 130离我们远在100亿光年外，宇宙大爆炸30亿后就存在了，那时的宇宙正高速形成星系和黑洞。图中X线“幽灵”的中心有个射电定位点，标记正在成长的超级黑洞。

机构缩写：NASA大家都知道，CXC是钱德拉卫星天文台的官方机构，SDSS 是斯隆数字巡天项目，STFC是英国科学和技术设施委员会，MERLIN是英国本岛全景的射电望远镜干涉阵列，JBO估计是日本的类似阵列，IoA可能是剑桥大学的天文协会。CXC的大部分图都是黑洞、超新星什么的——gohomeman1

我不知道怎么形容钱德拉的分辨率，是比哈勃差得远还是比哈勃还精密？
