Hi Warren;
Contact me off list, I have one in stock, but it's not what you
think. It's the 2" visual adaptor for the R200SS newtonain.
Just so all of you know, the 2" adaptor for the Vixen
R200SS perfectly fits the Vixen 102 ED, 120 Neo-Achromat, etc. I doubt
even the people at Orion know this.
The main difference is the 2" visual back for the refractors is
maybe a half inch wide (or long) , but the R200SS adaptor is about one and
a quarter inches long, and i find, due to the extra length, it is actually
more secure for holding 2" star diagonals, etc.
The only hesitation I have for people with the Taurus system is I
have never seen any in-focus problems using the longer adaptor, but I have
never tested it with the Taurus either. One woudl think an extra 0.75" of
an inch woudl nto make much difference on a focuser with 6 inches of
travel,b ut then, stranger things have happened.
Anyhow, just so all of you know, the adaptors (photo & visual)
that fit on the Vixen reflectors all seem to fit/thread perfectly on the
larger refractors.
