Both tails appeared quite prominent and easily seen even in small binoculars.]

Tail reached 4.5 deg in PA 322. Comet was an obvious NE object. Dec. 14.35 UT: m1~4.3, Dia.~1.0 deg (this is probably coma+dust fan), DC=3...NE. It is interesting that the binocular magnitude & dia. is similar to that obtained under 5.5 mag. skies. The observed tail length is about twice as long, however.]
