Hello all:

Calculated the photometricals parameters 2004 Q2 MACHHOLZ , curve reduced light
of the comet ( 130 visuals observations ) , and for the 10 of January I obtain a
maximum visual magnitude of +3.4.

obtained photometrical equation : m1=4.6+5*log(del)+2.5*4.8*log(R)

m0=4.6 n=4.8

m1(10-01-2005)= + 3.4

2004 Dec. 14.33 UT: m1=4.5, Dia.=17', DC=6, Tails: gas - 5.33 deg. in PA 17 deg. dust fan up to 4.5 deg...10x50 B...Charles S. Morris (Lockwood Valley, CA) [Under very dark skies (NE mag. ~6.8) watching a wonderful Geminid shower. In 10x50 B, broad dust fan from PA 270 deg (30' length) to 17 deg. Tail reached 4.5 deg in PA 322. Comet was an obvious NE object. Dec. 14.35 UT: m1~4.3, Dia.~1.0 deg (this is probably coma+dust fan), DC=3...NE. It is interesting that the binocular magnitude & dia. is similar to that obtained under 5.5 mag. skies. The observed tail length is about twice as long, however.]
