C/2011 L4, 2013 Feb 19.85 UT; m1= 4.2; Dia= 2.5'; DC= 8; 10cm f4 refl
(20x); Comet observed approx 4 deg above horizon in morning sky. Lambda and
Gamma Gruis used as comparison stars as per Reinder Bouma's chart. No
atmospheric extinction correction applied, although the comet and comparison
stars were within a couple of degrees altitude of each other. The comet is
clearly brighter than Lambda Gruis (mag 4.6) Short broad tail 25' long in PA
205 deg clearly visible even in a bright sky background. [Andrew Pearce,
