A very old bug I found in Microsoft Paint, but I never report this one. It has been there since Win3.1, day one of Windows all the way to XP. Here is the my finding;
1. Start Paint,creat a rectangular area for your drawing, say 600x300, as long as it is not a square
2. draw a line from around point(10,10), to (580,580) from corner to corner, in a color other than white
3. click eraser tool, erase some portion of the line with it. do not erase too much,
4. immediately select menu item, "Image" --> "Flip/Rotate" then select rotate anlge 90 degree
5. Do not click your mouse, move the cursor over the lower part of the line
6. The line will be erased even you do not click the mouse, but you can only erase the part when the line section less than the width of the rotated image(height of the original one)
7. What funnier, using fill "Fill woth Color" tool, instead of drawing a line. you can erase the whole image into a square. try to move the eraser over the virtual line to make the shape to square, see what happens. |
